Jesús Garisoain
He studies clarinet and piano at the Professional Conservatory of Music "Pablo Sarasate" in Pamplona. He completed his composition studies at the Superior Conservatory of Donostia, obtaining the Composition and Instrumentation Honor Prize in 1999. He has participated in conducting courses with Antoni Ros-Marbá, Enrique García Asensio, and Arturo Tamayo.
Since 1987 until the present day, he has been the tutti clarinetist of the Pamplona Music Band "La Pamplonesa," a role he has combined since 1991 with that of assistant conductor of the same Pamplona institution. During the years 1995/96, he temporarily held the position of conductor.
Since the academic year 1990/1991 until the present day, he has been an interim professor of "composition fundamentals" at the Professional Conservatory of Music "Pablo Sarasate" in Pamplona.
